Sample Submission Instructions

For best results, please prepare samples according to the guidelines below. If possible, contact our specialist by phone before preparing your samples.
If you have any questions, call us or send an email and we will be happy to discuss the options available for submitting your samples.

DNA Purity OD260/280 = 1.8-2.0
RNA Purity OD260/280 = 1.8-2.2, RIN ≥ 7.0

[Sample Requirements]

(1) Total RNA
RNA should be isolated using an appropriate method and re-suspended in RNase-free water.
Total RNA should be high quality (OD260/280=1.8~2.0, OD260/230≥1.7) and show twodistinct rRNA bands.
The sample concentration should be greater than 20 ng/µl. Refer to [Sample Submission Guidelines] for input requirements.
Samples should be shipped at -20˚C with (a) QC data,(b) gel image or Bioanalyzer results, and (c) sufficient dry ice.
(2) Genomic DNA
It is recommended to prepare genomic DNA using filter-membrane based kit.
DNA should be high quality (OD260/280≥1.8, OD260/230≥1.9) without degradation and residual RNA.
The sample concentration should be greater than 20 ng/µl. Refer to [Sample Submission Guidelines] for input requirements.
Samples should be shipped at 4˚C with (a) QC data, (b) gel image or Bioanalyzer results, and (c) frozen ice packs.
DNA for GBS assay could have special options depending on the species (ex.: Fish). Please contact us before shipping your samples.
(3) Chromatin
Chromatin should be crosslinked and isolated sufficient quantity for application using an appropriate method.
The sample concentration should be greater than 20 ng/µl. Refer to [Sample Submission Guidelines] for input requirements.
Samples should be shipped at -20˚C with sufficient dry ice.
(4) Cells/ Tissue
The amount of cells/tissues should be sufficient for assay. Refer to [Sample Submission Guidelines] for input requirements.
Samples should be shipped at -20˚C with sufficient dry ice.

[Sample Packaging Guidelines]

  1. (1) Write the sample information clearly and secure the written label to the tube using transparent tape.
  2. (2) Seal each sample tubes or PCR plates with Parafilm to prevent samples from leaking or evaporating. All samples should be packaged inside a 50 ml tube or holding rack.
  3. (3) DNA should be shipped at 4˚C using frozen ice packs.
  4. (4) RNA, chromatin, cells, and tissue samples should be shipped at -20˚C using sufficient dry ice.
  5. (5) Send a copy of the Sample Submission Form (provided to you via e-mail at time of order) and QC data with your sample shipment.
